This course is for 20 guided learning hours.
This course is for individuals who want to be able to gain an introductory knowledge or Entry Level qualification and skills in interior design and, or, who might be thinking about looking for work or self-employment in this field.
You will not need experience of Interior Design as beginners are welcome on this course. But, as the course involves taking notes and measurements you will need to have basic levels of English and maths. You will have a short initial assessment at the start of the course to ensure that it is suitable for you. You are normally required to have an Entry 3/Level 1 in literacy and numeracy is (free help is available with BAES if required).
This course will help you to develop basic levels of design and practical skill. It will prepare you for NCFE Level 1 Award in Creative Craft using Interior Design.
So that you have the best chance of successfully passing this qualification, you will need to attend all sessions, be punctual, complete homework as required, and bring the correct tools and resources to each session
A ring binder with section dividers. Tutor will advise at enrolment. There will be a cost involved in providing materials for this course.
The course fees for this qualification do not cover the cost of equipment and materials. You will need to spend approximately £5 on equipment at the beginning of the course, and then £10 on materials as the course progresses.
