Yes. BCS Level 1 ECDL Award in IT user skills (QCF)
No previous qualification is needed although an Entry 3 IT qualification is advisable. You will need to be able to use a computer unaided and have English at Level 1
By the end of the course learners will be able to:
A level 2 ITQ course such as ECDL Level 2 or IT Skills for Work Level 2
In a dedicated IT classroom environment using written course materials and online learning resources. There will be group discussions, tutor-led demonstrations, tutorials, small groups, individual and peer teaching. Learners will have their work checked regularly. You will have access to learning resources at home to support your learning between classes. You will be assessed by an online test for each unit.
You will need a pen, notepad, and a folder to store hand-outs and completed exercises. You will also need to supply a memory stick. Access to a computer or any other IT device outside the classroom will be useful, but is not essential.
To achieve success on the course you will need to attend regularly. If you need to miss a class, please let us know in advance.
You will need to ensure that you allow sufficient time for self-study and complete any homework set. You will be expected to complete all assessments and complete the full course
