- understand how our immune system responds to vaccines and viruses
Wellbeing and Mindfulness
Duration: 6 weeks
Content: This course Introduces learners to the terms ‘mental health’ and ‘well-being’ and the different types of conditions and the support available. Learners will
- understand what is meant by the terms mental health and well-being
- understand different mental health conditions and treatment
- know how to find support for mental health conditions
- know how to look after own mental health and well-being
Healthy Relationships
Duration: 6 weeks or workshop.
Content: This course aims to explore healthy and meaningful relationships. Learners will
- explore physiological and psychological benefits of having meaningful relationships
- understand how healthy relationships can improve mental wellbeing
- explore how to form ad maintain healthy relationships
- recognise factors that can make relationships unhealthy and develop knowledge on
Active Life
Duration: 6 weeks or workshop.
Content: This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to be able to lead an active healthy lifestyle. Learners will
- identify the importance of physical activity and healthy living
- know how to make activity and lifestyle changes
Reading for Wellbeing
Duration: 6 weeks
Content: This course aims to provide an introduction to the value of reading as a tool for improving wellbeing by exploring a variety of texts and themes. Learners will
- read a variety of texts including novels, poetry and short stories
- identify what I particularly enjoy reading and why
- express how reading can support my wellbeing
- feel part of a reading community that enjoys discussions about books and wellbeing
Healthy Mind, Healthy Body Champions
Duration: 2 hour workshop.
Content: Give learners the opportunities to use the knowledge they have acquired and apply it to their local communities. Learners will:
- advocate the importance of treating mental and physical health as one to the community
- increase community’s awareness to practice better body and mind care
Course requirements
Learners will need access to a tablet/laptop/smartphone or PC. They will also need an email address and access to the internet.

On completion of these courses all learners will receive a certificate of achievement. At the end of the course, we will provide information about other learning opportunities and courses for adults to join in the local area.
