English for Job Hunting

Course aims

You may already be studying English or ESOL, are enrolled on one of our vocational subjects or are new to BAES. Whatever your situation, this course is to help you with the specific English requirements in getting a job.

Once you start the course, each session you will introduce you to some of the skills you would need to secure employment.

During the course you will:

  • Write a covering letter /email for a job application
  • Write a personal profile to add to your CV based on your skills and experience using the correct English words
  • Analyse interview questions and how to answer them appropriately to gain confidence in speaking
  • Understand and use the language of customer service

What could this course lead to?

From this, you could consider a Business or Customer Service course with BAES or to develop your English skills further , you could join one of our English Functional Skills or ESOL courses in September

Course requirements

A PC/laptop/tablet and IT skills to be able to navigate the internet and download and use apps. Be able to read and follow instructions independently
