Asian Fashion - Cutting and Stitching - Introduction 

Course details

Aimed at complete beginners, this course focuses on beginners’ elements of cutting and stitching. 

What to expect from the course  

You will learn how to cut correctly, assessing the grain of the fabric, lay basic patterns, mark-out and prepare sample pieces for construction. You will learn how to thread a domestic sewing machine and create sample pieces with conventional and experimental stitches.

Initial Course Resources / Additional cost

Tools and equipment are available for your use at the Centre. However, you will need to purchase some tools and materials for your project. The additional course costs will vary £ 20 - 45 depending on the size of the project you are making, this will be discussed with you at enrolment.
